Olsen Motorsports to make debut in 2009.

With the upcoming NGOL fast approaching, Olsen Motorsports has made the announcement that they will field a two car team. This is the first season for Olsen Motorsports, they will make their debut in the first race of the NGOL Season.
Olsen Motorsports has been racing on the dirt tracks of the great northwest for the last 3 years. Andrew Olsen Driver of the #23 Chevy, began his racing career racing a street stock at the age of 13. with great success finishing 2nd in points with 2 wins and 6 top 5's and got rookie of the year. The offer to drive a IMCA Modified for Jones Motorsports. Andrew would drive the modified for 2 years. In his rookie year he finished 7th in points and had 4 top 5's and 9 top 10's, also recived Rookie of the year. in the second year of driving for Jones Motorsports Andrew was able to Score not only his first win but 4 wins and 11 top 5's in route to finishing 3rd in points only 2 points behind 2nd place.
In 2008 the offer to run a dirt late model for Fox Motorsports was on the table. Olsen would drive 16 out of 28 Races for Fox Motorsports. Olsen made 14 A-Mains out of 16 Starts with his highest finishing place of 3rd. After 16 races Andrew was in 13th in points. As soon as his contract with Fox Motorsports expired, Walters racing offered his their backup car for the rest of the year. In the fowling 10 races Olsen Scored his First ever Dirt Late Model win.
Andrew's father Paul Olsen was his crew chief. Now with a open car, Andrew has convinced his dad to run the NGOL season with him in the #69 Chevy.
2009 with be the rookie year for Andrew and Paul. They will be Racing for Rookie of the year, who will come out on top? Andrew has more driving experience but all of it was on dirt. now the playing field is even. Mother/wife Julie olsen is going to be travailing with the team. Younger Sister/Daughter is in school and may race the #69 for one race in the middle of the year.

August 30th, 2009– Forest Grove, Oregon

The Father - Son Team of Andrew and Paul Olsen took part in the Test race at NY Fairgrounds. This is thier first start with NGOL, both finishing on the lead lap.
Andrew Olsen qualified in the 9th place out of 20 cars. Olsen Gained one position and finished in the 8th position, only 8.03 Seconds behind 1st place. Andrew had this to say about his day. " We had a great car, we had no idea what to expect. We unloaded with a good set up. For my first time with the series, im exited to finish in the top 8. "

Father Paul Olsen, did not have such as good of a day, with this being his first ever race start in any type of cars. Paul qualified 15th out of 20 cars. During the race Olsen began to get the car under control. Paul gained 1 position during the race and finished 14th 17.55 secong behind the leader, but he did stay on the lead lap. Paul had this to say. " THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Olsen motorsports is vary happy with thier results at the Test race at NY Fairgrounds. They have high hopes for the season.

Olsen Motorsports are pleasened to announce that they are VARY close with signing a new sponcor on the #23 car for most of the season.
Current sponcors have signed a 2 race concract, so after the bud shootout and daytona 500, it is vary poiiable to new a new scheme for more of the season.
Olsen motorsports has not named the new sponcor as of yet. But they did say this " We will have lots of energy with this new sponcor. "

September 06, 2009– Forest Grove, Oregon

Olsen motorsports is happy with the results of the Daytona 500. With a team of rookies, Andrew Olsen found out he can run up front with the best of the best. Andrew Stared out in the 8th position and finished in the 7th place, he gain 1 place. Andrew also lead his first lap of the NGOL season.
Father Paul olsen started the night off in the 15th position and finished there. Paul had a bad night but did not finish last.
Olsen motorsports has confirmed the rumors of a new sponcor for the #23 car. they have not said who the sponcor is but they have confirmed it is a energy drink company.

September 16, 2009– Forest Grove, Oregon

Olsen Motorsports would like to welcome new sponcor for Califournia. Pivot: from Big Ass Fans has signed on to sponcor the #23 car of Andrew Olsen at califournia raceway. Olsen motorsports has said this is a 1 race deal as of now. The team is still trying to come to an aggreement with a company name not released.
Andrew Olsen has been on fire as of late. After finishing 7th at the Daytona 500, andrew went on to finish 8th at Atlanta. Next on the schedule was Bristol, Andrew came from the 9th starting position to finish 3rd. And the most recent race was Chiagoland where andrew had a ban night coming home 19th.
Paul olsen has been having a good time racing with the NGOL this year. he finished 15th at the 500, 16th at ATL, 8th at bristol, and 12th at chiagoland.
Andrew is currently 2nd in points 29 points behing the leader "bubbles" and father paul is currently 13th.

With the new Grand-AM Series, Olsen motorsports has been backed by Version Wireless and Penske Racing. Andrew Olsen will be piolting the #12 car under version wireless sponcorship. The series will be starting up soon!
