The Heat division is in talks with Suzuka Circuit to have an exhibition race the week following the season finale at Mosport Raceway. Suzuka Circuit East was used in The NGOL Cup Series in season one. It is also rumored that the Grand-Am cars may run the full course and not the shortened NASCAR course.

Daytona International Promises changes towards the "bus stop" at the end of the back straightaway. Many violent and grinding crashes had happened in that section of the race track. The track had promised changes such as removing a couple of the tire barriers drivers most often crash in to. Daytona looks forward to being host of multiple races for both superspeedway and road course races in 2010.

The NGOL (HD) had announced that it will hold a major press conference Seotember 25th announcing the future of the division and any possible new series to take place during 2010. They will announce, what is rumored to be, two new series for the entire 2010 year. A rough outline of the schedules will be released, some new rules are planned to be announced as well.

Norschlife Testing went wrong the other day. While testing a Nationwide car at Nordschlife (better known as "Green Hell") Murphy's car slid off the track and crashed into some tire barriers after the nearly straight two miles of road. Murphy lost control after braking heading into a 50 mph corner. The car spun and nearly flipped into the tire barriers. Murphy emerged fine and was checked out of the local care center with one small bruise on the knee. The test was going fine at the nearly 15 mile track located in Germany until the accident. The test was to see if the track would be suitable for a series race, but after the test session it raised many safety concerns that the track may not be able to fix in time for a 2010 race date, and will likely not be added to any series in 2010. Day to of testing for the team will go to Monaco to see if the race would be suitable for a series race for 2010.

Testing at Monaco was a big success today at Monaco. No crashes today, but just as small scrape on the side of the car. The NGOL (HD) was very pleased with the single car testing. Although it may not be suitable to fit more than 30 cars safely. The HD is considering this venue as an invitational event for the larger of the two Heat leagues. A sponsor has already jumped on board for sponsorship of the race.

The schedules for the two brand new series for 2010 are nearly complete! There is one weekend that is still undecided as to what track NGOL will be racing at, all we can release is the fact that the battle for the race date is between a speedway and a road course. Both schedules are planned to be released September 25th during the press conference. After Sept. 24th there will be no edits to the schedule.

Schedule Hiccups? Suzuka a no go for 2010? Hearing today that Suzuka, who was originally on the schedule for 2010, may pull out due to safety issues. The bridge heading into the final four turns is not safe, and will shoot the cars into the air as much as 10 feet, sometimes resulting in very serious injury to the drivers. Also hearing the Grand-Am Series may be a no go for the full course as well. Although they may be considering the shortened 1.4 mile road course full of esses and a driver favorite.

Quick note, the big press released will be released tomorrow morning ASAP! Please READ this PR, even though it's very early to plan for this, we'll do plenty of testing and some just for fun races mostly after the Grand-Am season or whatever.

Also look for three new threads in this section Cool

PR Straight from NGOL (HD)

Now announcing two brand new NGOL (HD) Series, their rules,
and schedules. First we'll introduce the NASCAR Grafx
Nationwide Series!

[IMG]http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu269/mrmeaty248/NG
Nationwide.jpg[/IMG]

The NGNS will be far different than any other offline
series you know. The idea and concept is the same, computer
controlled cars racing...Best one wins. But there are
several huge chatches.
This year, you are not resticted to just the in game cars,
you have options now. Although you may pick an in game car,
there are other cars from the internet you may choose to
pick, but not all of them are compatable. You may pick cars
from these fine web sites, and please, if you'd like to see
what a car looks like in the game, ask! I'll gladly share
pictures as some of them don't have any or are very hard to
see:

"2004 WC Cars"
"Fictional Cars" (few cars from this section"
"Nextel Heat 2004"
"Nextel Heat 2005"
"Thunder 2 Heat" (I think these work too)
http://heatpainting.50.forumer.com/index.php (Not sure...)

You may have two full time cars, with a third car only
running maximum seven points paying races
. Any
more races than seven will have severe team punishments.
First offense, 100 point fine for car that broke the rules.
Second offense, team DNQ'ed and parked. And third, full
year suspension.

If you choose to run an in game car, the season will start
with the 2009 car set, as, I'm sure, a 2010 Nationwide
carset will not be out, probably until May. When the new
one comes out all downloaded cars will get converted to the
new carset and everyone that has the in-game cars will just
get upgraded from '09 to '10. For example, if you had #88
Brad K. Godaddy.com Chevy, your car will be upgraded to the
#88 of Kelly Bires and whatever his sponsor may be.
here will be a no tolerance policy on changing numbers
after Feburary 14, 2010
(first race of the season).
Anyone can join or re-join at any time in the season,
except post-season. Paint scheme charts, should you have
multiple schemes, would be very helpful, you may also
announce what scheme your running in the race sign up
thread. You can have as many as 5 schemes including your
main scheme.

Sign-ups will be 100% diffrent this year. I will manually
do points, I promise I'll do it on time and everything.
Sign-ups will be more NASCAR style. Sign-ups for a specific
race will start two weeks prior to the race. Even though
it's two weeks prior to the race, you have one week for
your entrance to be on time. Any sign ups after that will
result in a penalization. Just like the real NASCAR, any
late sign-ups or driver changes will result in no points
earned for the race. Sorry, that's how it goes. And I
will not accept anything along the lines of "I'll be
there all year." I'll let your car start all the races if
you're gonna do that, but you won't get any points, I don't
care if you win all 34 races, but in the end, you'll finish
last with 0 points, I will do this all year.

I don't expect this to happen, but if we get over 35 cars
we will have somewhat of a top 35 points system, this will
just be based off of the regular points system. Cars above
35th will have a drivers rating of 1, everyone below will
have a 3. It is still comepletely possible to finish well
with a lower drivers rating. After race 5 this will go into
effect.

Without further adue, here's the schedudle. Suggestions
and requests will be ignored!
34 races, many from the
2010 schedule, and many from days of old from both
Nationwide and Camping World Trucks. No more changes will
be made until otherwise noted.

Yes there will be an All-Star event, same weekend as our
other series, but Charlotte has not yet been confirmed to
host this event. Track information and details to be
released soon. Races to be, I'm thinking, somewhere about
30 minuets long, that may change.

Videos will be far more in depth, hopefully, I'm thinking
every Wednesday for in depth video releases. Select drivers
carrying in car cameras for the races, drivers would be
selected at random for this and will not change. Video
quality I hope will be improved, maybe I'll try something
other than Windows Movie Maker. Replays will still be
avalible for download, and maybe by December or so, I'll
release the paints and texts for private useage.
Compilation videos are planned for the end of the year such
as year in review, and top 10 lists.

Now, we get to our newest creation for 2010, The Heluva
Good! Series!

luvaGoodSeries-1.png[/IMG]

Rules are the same as above, but you NEED a
personally selected car from one of these fine web sites.

Ricky Bobby has agreed to video tape a new segment for the NASCAR Heat videos called "Hot lap with Ricky Bobby." These videos will be released day by day starting sometime in October to show the viewers/followers of the series what the track will look like from a drivers perspective, and detailed track information to follow up the video.

Chevy has decided to sponsor the Heluva Good! Series race at Richmond and name it the Chevy Rock N' Roll 400. Looney Tunes will also back the event and is encouraging drivers and teams to bring cartoon themed cars to the track.

Going to do some Nationwide testing at Dover today at about 1:10. This will be more of a practice session and not a race. Later in the day there may be a Heluva Good! practice session at the same track.

Dover Nationwide practice went fairly well. Really boring though, were just doing mini races when we have practice sessions, lol. So I got on the track for one lap before I crashed (Epic Fail).

Dover will play host to a test race for the Heluva Good! Series. Normal paint schemes will be run, all drivers are eligible for this test. That is time permitting though, and will run later in the day.
