The skies have cleared at Dover, and were ready to go racing under the night sky! 17 drivers will take to the track for a very quick 20 some minuet race. And it starts now. I'll get results and video. Razz

Nationwide Series test race at Kansas Thursday The NGOL Nationwide series will continue testing for the 2010 year. The race will be run in the day time, and will be another short 20 minuet test.

Grand-Am Pheonix race to be run Friday ASAP[b] The Pheonix race for the second Saturday in October will be run a day early due to prior obligations for the league owner. "We will try to run it starting as soon as 3PM that Friday," he said, "As long as it doesn't rain, if it rains it will be run late Sunday, possibly at night."

[b]Heluva Good! Series test to be run at Laguna Seca
The Heluva Good testing will head to the west coast with the Grand-am series to do some testing either Sunday or Monday. This will be the first road course test for the series in prepartion for the 2010 season. It will be another 20 some minuet test for the series.

NBC, Fox, and ESPN to broadcast races? The NGOL (HD) has rumored NBC, Fox, and ESPN to broadcast races for the Grand-am, Nationwide Series, and Heluva Good! Series for the end of 2009 and all of 2010. No comment we released by NGOL publicly, but it is highly rumored that this will happen. If the deal were to go through, Fox/Speed would get coverage of the Grand-Am Series, NBC/TNT, Fox/Speed, ABC/ESPN to split coverage for at NGOL Nationwide, and Heluva Good! Series. It is also rumored that this deal would start effective after the GRand-am Pheonix race.

Templates for the Nationwide and Heluva Good! Series are now up for download! Get creative! Make some cars! IDC, make a frickin' Ferrari!

Custom cars may be sent to me via PM. They do not have to have to be in .tex format, a regular full size .jpeg will do fine.

I plan on converting some '09 templates to the original NASCAR HEAT templates for your own use. The only templates that will be converted will be Toyota Camry, Chevy Impala, Chevy Camaro, Ford Fusion (both), Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger.

This is my week long project, I don't think that it will honestly take a week but you never know. I strongly encourage you to give the Heluva Good! and Nationwide Series it's own "identity."

Remember, time is on your side, actual racing does not start until Feburary, and I will accept cars throughout the year except for post-season I think something like November 20th.

And as a reminder for the NGOL (03D), get your late model cars in dammit! lol

Nationwide Series Schedule Twist Mansfield Motor Speedway has been dropped from the 2010 Nationwide Series Schedule for unknown reasons, NGOL found out early yesterday and had been scrambling to find it's replacement. Well, it's replacement has been found, and that track will be Kentucky Speedway located in Sparta, Kentucky. "The economy may had been a legitimate reason to why Mansfield was dropped from the 2010 schedule," Murphy commented,"But we are very happy that Kentucky was able to step up and help us out for the May 22nd race." Murphy also commented that the race would be run under the lights.

Heluva Good! And Nationwide Series Invited To...Hackeheim, Germany. Yes, the Heluva Good! Series and Nationwide Series is invited to Germany for an exhibition race this December 5th for a NGOL double header. "We are quite excited to have our two leagues race in Europe in preparation for the 2010 season." This will count as the first official race for both series, even though it is an exhibition race.

Grand-am Secures Suzuka NGOL confirmed earlier today that Suzuka will be the final race for the NGOL Grand-am series. The Suzuka race will be an exhibition race and will be the last race of the entire season. Select drivers will do private testing at Suzuka to see what track layout will suit the Grand-am series best these next two days.

NGOL Pleased With Suzuka Testing Yesterday the driver or the #2 Jack Daniels Prototype was the only driver at the track, but it was not driven by the original driver of the #2 in the Grand-am series. The car was leant to NGOL for track testing with various test drivers. The drivers responded with positive feedback about the track and tested both layouts of the track although NGOL says they're decision has already been made about what layout they like best. The drivers that tested recomended that the full course be used for the race.

TV Agreements On Hold Currently the TV agreements for the NGOL series for 2010 is on hold while agreements between all stations are being worked out. ESPN/ABC hinted at a pullout if they do not like the TV schedule suggested, FOX/SPEED and NBC/TNT are still interested in the deal.

Test Results/Final Verdict Testing for the second day went equally as well. The drivers tried some different things in the cars, some worked, some didn't. But NGOL and the test drivers who tested decided to race the full Suzuka course for the Grand-am series, however, it is not yet decided as to which course will be run for the Heluva Good! Series, but it may be the full course as well.

New Track To Be Added To Nationwide/Heluva Good! Schedule's? A few months ago a new superspeedway in Dayton, Ohio started to be built. NGOL has kept close eyes on this track and were curious as to what it would look like and what it would be. Now the track is starting to take shape and NGOL is very interested in this track. The track is a three mile triange located in the Dayton, Ohio area, capable of very fast speeds, and will probably use some form of restrictor plate. NGOL has suggested that this track be added to both Nationwide and Heluva Good! Schedules. NGOL had stated that the Nationwide Series may recive this track without losing a race date, but the story may not be the same for the Heluva Good! Series.

Rumor: Another New Series Some people have stated that the NGOL (HD) had plans in possibly starting a mainly European league. As of now NGOL has shot down these rumors and went as far to call them lies. The rumors said that NGOL would be starting a league that would race mainly in Europe, Asia, and Australia, sometimes making the very rare trip to North and South America on a 20 some race schedule with off-weeks in between many races. They also suggested that the cars driven would be either an IROC type body, a truck body, or a car modeled after and Australian V8 Super car. Again these rumors have been denied.

NATIONWIDE SCHEDULE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY OVERHAULED!

See if your favorite track got cut or added. I figured the schedule might work better when the race dates are similar to those of real life.

NGOL is pleased to announce the new NGOL IROC Series!

Now this is not a major series, just a mini one. Ten races scattered throughout the 2010 season about a race a month, very simple.

IROC Planned Schedule
_____________
Feb. 11- Daytona
Mar. 4 - Atlanta
Apr. 22- Talladega
Jun. 18- Mid-Ohio
Jul. 22- Indianapolis
Aug. 5 - Watkins Glen
Aug. 12- Michigan
Sep. 9 - Richmond
Oct. 7 - Riverside
Nov. 4 - Texas

Here's the rules at a glance, ONE car per person, I will accommodate the sign-up thread for this. All I need from you guys is a NUMBER, LAST NAME and ONE COLOR. TO ensure you get the color you want, be specific, find a color chart or something and give me the corresponding number that goes with the color you want, don't tell me to find it myself. I will make the cars over time to ensure they all look like a real IROC set.

If you would not like to post your last name here, PM me, I've got no problems with it.

THERE WILL BE NO TESTING OR EXHIBITION RACES FOR THIS SERIES

Anyone who has participated in any offline series affiliated with the Heat or nr2003 series is eligible for IROC. I will invite member of ILOC to join as well Razz .

Look for the NGOL Heluva Good! Series to get a complete overhaul as well.
