Smoke dared me Laughing . Post your game reviews for anything on the Wii, 360, or PS3!

Game: NASCAR Kart Racing (EA Sports Freestyle)
Platform: Wii
Overall Grade: B

Being a die hard NASCAR fan I just had to try it out, so I rented it on Monday and took it back Thursday. I was a little skeptical at first, I mean, NASCAR drivers!...In go-karts!?...Blowing everyone up!?!...Sounds too good to be true. So I popped it in and started the championship mode. It was simple to say the least, kind of generic, but it got the point across. Started the first race and you already knew it would be fun. I did not get the chance to play the game in multilayer, but it would be a lot of fun. The only couple of things I do not like is why they have fictional drivers, only 14 drivers? Out of how many in real life? They could have used probably 10 more drivers including the likes of Mark Martin, Ryan Newman, Juan Montoya, ect. The other thing is they don't have many tracks either. Only 12. NASCAR Rumble had a ton of stuff for tracks and cars...But only 12. About 18 would have been nice, you could easily do some more "NASCAR Elite" tracks. A mini Sonoma would have been great! But overall it's worth your time, although I would not buy it unless if you have at least another person willing to play against you. It's more of a party game really.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
PS3
Offline Grade: A-
Online Grade: C+
Overall: B

The third in a series detailing the 101st Airborne during WW2, goes through Operation Market Garden. Where the first two focused on realism, this one takes the Call of Duty route. The aspect of not being able to heal damage from the first two games is gone and replaced by the damage system from CoD 4 and 5. Otherwise, a great game, focusing more on tactics to defeat the enemy than on just running through the level. The "ding" made from headshots that is used in most games has been replaced in single player with a zoom in on the target when a headshot is achieved. The cover system is brilliant, making tactics even more needed. Weapons such as MG 42s and .30cal machine guns can be picked up and carried around, then mounted on things like windows or walls. The tank missions are cool, although extremely easy.

Online, the game takes a turn for the worst. It's laggy, regardless of connection. Weapons become extremely inaccurate and lose a ton of power, so even a sniper rifle take 3-4 headshots to kill a target. The tank the attackers get is hard to use, since it takes 2-3 people to use it. One to drive, one to use the main gun, and one to use the machine guns. The maps are decent. But the scenario is the same each time. The attackers take their flag to the enemy's flagpole, and have to raise it. If you drop the flag, you must pick it up in 60 sec or your team loses. There is also no respawning. The air strike the squad leader gets is a measly dive bomber droping one bomb. And it seems mics don't work very well in game, which makes it difficult to coordinate anything.

My recommendation is get this game for it's single player mode, not it's multiplayer. If you want multiplayer WW2 with tanks, get World at War.

My little brother bought this game I have to say that it is an overall fun game to play. You can pick your team mates, so you can team up Kyle Busch with Dale Jr. and so on. The track design is anything but simple, Daytona isn't just an oval , it goes into Daytona Beach. It is enjoyablee to blow up Kyle Busch. There are few actual drivers, and Joey Lagono's Gamestop car is an unlockable. Dover is an unlockable track, where you go under the racing surface. Your partner gives you a boost when you are close, similar to drafting. But if you get too far behind your partner you loose the boost, and a lot of speed. One of the annoying things about this game is in challenge mode, instead of the drivers talking the just jibber jabber. Multiplayer isn't much different from the regular, there are just two screens and you have seperate partners. There is no online mode, just regular split screen.

Just had to follow up your review mrmeaty Wink

Oh I better put on some armor case you guys are gonna hate this Laughing

Call of Duty: World at War
Platform Being Reviewed: PS3
Overall Grade: C
Offline Grade: B-
Online Grade: D+

Lets start with the singleplayer. The game is featured in a WW2 setting, yeah everyone knows this Neutral

The Singleplayer portion of the game is quite entertaining, and not very repetitive. The Co-op is nice, but having to CONSTANTLY revive your bud due to game glitches is just awful. Good length, really no story though, but it was fun.

Online, hmmmm, GARBAGE! Why do people call this game's online good? Lag, Killcam is screwed up, "You must be level 50 to use this game mode" crap is just a slap in the face. The game doesn't even animate an enemy shooting at you! You think you have a surprise attack, you hear one bullet hit you and you die. Killcam shows that he has been shooting at you for 5+ seconds. Yeah, I about got on my mic and b!tched about how pissed I was. Dogs never die, grenades are just fail, you get "snagged" on a plant and killed...

Overall, the graphics are bad, nothing sways in the wind or anything, but the gameplay is more than average. After my 3rd letdown with this overrated series, I don't have much more to say but.. meh

OK, I'll have two this week. The first one is....

Platform Being Reviewed: PS3
Overall Grade: A
Offline Grade: A-
Online Grade: A+

Hmm... another Sony 1st party title! Instantly means: EPIC! And it was nothing but EPIC! The graphics were incredible, the gameplay was just jawdropping, the plot was incredible, the voice acting was great, the character development/emotion was fantastic! Felt like watching a great movie, and the game itself was similar to Star Wars. It justs sucks you into it, YOU are the character. Best FPS I've ever played, hands down.

KILLZONE 2 is the sequel to KILLZONE: Liberation for PSP. TBH, I've never played any, but heard KZ1 sucked awfully. I'll try it later though. The game is set in 2300 something, very sci-fi. Your in the 2nd Extraplanetary war, as a soldier fighting with the ISA, note that Earth kinda looked like a wasteland, so no countries. Wink You have to take down the rebelling Helgast by invading their planet of Helghan. The Helghast were once humans expanding to other planets, but the conditions of Helgan mutated them into different humanoid creatures. The task is simple, take the leader alive. But the action is not, everything goes wrong. The game wasn't very emotional though, which it could have benefitted from. (Hint to "everything going wrong")

If you own a PS3, you owe it to yourself to play this game! It proves why Sony shaped modern gaming back 15 years ago, and are still doing it today!

EDIT: Online. Hands down, the BEST shooter experience I have ever played, everything else is watered down crap. Which is disgusting Laughing

There are plenty of modes, but the unique thing is they all cycle in one room, and whichever faction wins 4 game modes, wins the match. Devs always do double XP, unlock faster, ect ect. Lots of classes! I love being the Medic and helping my teammates! The maps are anti-camping for the most part, although hates call this Kampzone... No lag either. It's just awesome. I will be buying this just for the online, rental isn't enough.

Nascar Kart Racing

Platform Being Reviewed: Wii
Overall Grade: D

Well another one of Ea sports crapy installments. The games graghic sucked an all the fanasty an no real tracks. You had to earn drivers through a somewhat career mode. there was about 10 real nascardrivers an 15 other fake drivers. I did not like how The king & joey logano work as a team I would have rather seen dale earnhardt work with petty. Overall the game was to easy a 5 yr old could of beat it in a day.

Resident Evil 5
Platform: PS3
Grade: D+

Pretty much a clone of RE4, but not successful. Fairly early in the game you're forced to fight the Executioner, which just happens to be one of the tougher enemies in the game. Oh, and at this point, you and your partner still only have their basic starting handguns! First weapon I found was a SMG, but it's no help. Graphics are good which helps bring the grade up. For once, you're partner can hold a gun, although she refuses to use anything but the starting handgun, until she runs out of ammo for it. Random infected attack dogs also attack at the worst times. And as you get farther into the game, the dogs are replaced by hyenas. When the chainsaw wielding maniac finally appears, he looks like an anorexic with a burlap sack sewn to his head. Not to mention that the death by chainsaw cutscene is now censored. It looses it's appeal fairly quickly. Definately not worth the $55 I spent on it.

Call of Duty: World at War
Single Player: D
Multiplayer: C
Nazi Zombie Co-op: Ranges from A to C depending on who else is playing.

Single player was boring. Any mission where you can use a flamethrower was way too easy. Multiplayer has its moments, but they are few and far between. Online, it's laggy to the point where three direct shots from a sniper rifle with the stopping power perk couldn't kill a guy. The game does have one good thing to it. Nazi Zombie Co-op! It entirely depends on who you end up having to co-op with though. If you get some good players with good tactics then it's fun, but occasionally you get stuck with the guy that blows himself up with grenades the first 4 levels and then insults you when you don't revive him. The mystery box can be a life saver, or just a waste of time. If you obtain a flamethrower, and can use the glitch, you are pretty much immortal. As of now I don't have any of the map packs, so I have no clue on how good or bad they are.
